
Backup
· Insert the Acronis bootable CD/DVD you burnt, using the iso image I sent you.
· Restart the computer (make sure in the BIOS setup, your first boot device is CD/DVD before primary harddrive)
· Important: Make sure you have atleast another drive other than c:\, say d:\. This is to store the back up of c:\ into d:\
· Select “Acronis True Image Home (Full Version)” 2nd choice
· Click “Backup”
· Click “Next”
· Click “Next”
· Check c:\
· Click “Next”
· Enter d:\1.tib
· Click “Next”
· Then I think you should be able to follow the wizard untill you click on “proceed”
· After backup is done, goto Operations->Exit
· Now if anything goes wrong, use recovery method to recover the whole c:\
Recovery
Very Very Important: Copy all your data (Photos, Videos, Pictures, Wallpapers etc) to D: Drive before doing this.
· Insert the DVD labled "Recovery Media Bootable" (1) and power on or restart the machine
· Click + to expand “CD Drive (E:)”
· Click “Backup Archives (*.tib)” and choose “All files(*)”
· Select “02 Symantec n Defender”
· Click “Next”
· Check “
OS(C:)“ to make it “
OS(C:)“
· Click “Next”
· Click “Next”
· Select “OS (C:)”
· Click “Next”
· Click “Next”
· Click “Next”
· Click “Next”
· Check “
Validate backup archive” to make it “
Validate backup archive”
· Click “Next”
· Click “Proceed”
· Wait for an hour
· Click “Ok”
· Remove the disk
· Select “Operations” menu
· Click “Exit”
· After restarting, the computer is restored to its original settings.
· Now setup your wireless network and printer.
Note:
· DON’T install any DEMO software. They make the computer messy and slow, sometimes not secure too.
