There are many a times when you want to connect your laptop or PC to view it's contents like Image files, Videos or even work related files on your TV. Most of us would think this could be a tech savvy or a tedious task to do, but its not! Following are some simple ways to connect your Laptop or Computer to the TV.

* S-Video: S-Video is simply a cable or a wire which lets you connect to digital devices together. The most common example of this would be connecting your Hi-Fi DVD player to your LCD panel and just about every TV has a S-Video port. Just make sure your laptop is also equipped with S-Video port. Remember, there are two types of S-Video cables: 4 pin & 7 pin. Most Laptops and PCs are equipped with a 7 pin port, so if your TV only has 4 pin S-Video port, then this method will not work.

* VGA: If you have a HDTV (High Definition Television), then you will be better off connecting using a VGA cable. It gives better quality then S-Video and as with S-video the cable is cheaper. You usually won't find a VGA port on regular TVs though, so this option is if you have a HDTV.

* DVI: DVI stands for Digital Visual Interface. The digital signal will give a high quality picture than either S-Video or VGA. Of course, your computer will need to have DVI connection and your TV will need to have an HDTV and its definitely not cheap.
