பணித் தேர்வுகள் தொடங்க உள்ள நிலையில் எந்த கல்லூரிக்கல்ல படிச்சா அதிக
சம்பளம் வாங்கலாம் மற்றும் எந்தப் படிப்புக்கு அதிக சம்பளம் என்று மனிதவள
ஆலோசனை நிறுவனம் வில்லிஸ் டவர்ஸ் வாட்சன் ஆய்வறிக்கை ஒன்றை
வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.
இதில் டையர் 1, 2, 3 என மூன்று பிரிவுகளாக கல்லூரிகளைப் பிரித்து கேம்மஸ் நேர்முகத்தேர்வில் எவ்வாறு தங்களது நிறுவனத்தில் வேலைக்கு ஆட்களைத் தேர்வு செய்கின்றது என்றும் இந்தியாவின் சிறந்த 70 நிறுவனங்கள் மற்றும் மனிதவள ஆலோசகர்களிடம் இருந்து தவல்களைப் பேற்று இந்த அறிக்கை தயாரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

டையர் 1 கல்லூரிகளில் படிக்கும் பி.டெக் மாணவர்கள் ஆண்டுக்கு 13.6 லட்சம் வரை சம்பளமும்,
இதுவே டையர் 2 கல்லூரிகளில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் 7 லட்சம் வரையிலும் சம்பளமாகவும்
டையர் 3 இல் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் 4.7 லட்சம் சம்பளமாகவும் பெறுகின்றனர்.
எம்.டெக் மாணவர்கள்
டையர் 1 கல்லூரிகளில் படிக்கும் எம்.டெக் மாணவர்கள் ஆண்டுக்கு 16 லட்சம் வரை சம்பளமும்,
இதுவே டையர் 2 கல்லூரிகளில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் 8 லட்சம் வரையிலும் சம்பளமாகவும்
டையர் 3 இல் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் 5.2 லட்சம் சம்பளமாகவும் பெறுகின்றனர்
பிஏ, பி.காம், பிபிஏ.
டையர் 1 கல்லூரிகளில் போன்ற பிஏ, பி.காம், பிபிஏ போன்று படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் ஆண்டுக்கு 4 லட்சம் வரை சம்பளமும்,
இதுவே டையர் 2 கல்லூரிகளில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் 2.7 லட்சம் வரையிலும் சம்பளமாகவும்
டையர் 3 இல் படிக்கும் மாணவர்கள் 2.17 லட்சம் சம்பளமாகவும் பெறுகின்றனர்.
"India is a unique market in that there is a very clear difference in campus salaries based on the tier of the college. The mindset is that the ranking of the institute is key," said Sambhav Rakyan, Data Services Practice leader for Asia Pacific at Willis Towers Watson.
Campus hiring is seen as one of the most preferred channels of entry-level recruitment by Indian organisations, according to the survey, which was conducted across college tiers for B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA students, along with other graduates with BA, B.Com, B.Sc and BBA degrees.
Of the companies hiring through campuses, around 72% hire BTech students; 30 per cent hire MTech; 63 per cent hire MBAs and 34 per cent hire graduates from other streams.
Organisations encourage transparency by communicating the compensation pay mix at the time of hiring, says the survey. Findings reveal that the salary difference between a technical graduate and postgraduate is not very significant - averaging at 16 per cent higher salaries for postgraduates.
There is also no significant salary differentiation between tier-2 and tier-3 colleges for graduates from other streams.
MBAs and M.Tech students similarly command similar salaries, though at Tier-3 institutes, those with M.Tech degrees get higher salaries than those with MBA degrees.
The salary difference between technical graduates and other graduates, however, is significantly different - averaging at 2.89 times higher salaries for technical graduates.

TIER 1.5 (Potential to become tier 1 in a few years)- IIIT Allahabad, DTU , NSIT, IIIT Delhi.
NITs-Calicut, Nagpur, Rourkela, Kurukshetra, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Durgapur, Jamshedpur.
BITS Goa and Hyderabad.
Tier 2 -NEW IITs like Mandi,Gandhinagar,Patna, Bhubaneswar etc.
DAIICT, BIT Mesra, IIIT Bangalore , IIIT Gwalior, IIIT Kancheepuram, IIIT Jabalpur.

Top private colleges like Manipal main campus, SRM main campus and VIT main campus.

Tier 3- Any IIITs (Indian not International) other than those mentioned above.
Lower level state government colleges.
Tier 4- Amity, LPU, ITM, other private colleges.

papers published and by asking my friends (Where ever possible i.e. in
most cases) about the quality of instruction and facilities, so I
believe that it is fairly accurate. Even so, there is every possibility
that your views about the ranking of institutes may vastly differ from mine as this list is neither a definitive nor an exhaustive list.

more than ready to make additions to the list but the rankings are
fixed and will not be altered. If you are dissatisfied with your
college’s current ranking then I kindly request you to write your own
answer instead of asking me to change mine.
Note 2:-
I
have made a separate list for Tier 1.5 because at present these
colleges do not match up to the standards set by Tier 1; but considering
the pace at which they are growing, will do so in a few years from now.
Further division of the tiers is redundant and will complicate the
stratification further and hence, it hasn’t been carried out.
