அந்த பெண்ணைச் சுற்றி ஏராளமான நிருபர்கள் கூட்டம் !
கேள்வி மேல் கேள்வியாக தொடுத்தார்கள் தொலைக்காட்சி நிருபர்கள் ..!

அந்த பெண்ணின் பெயர் ஸ்ருதி ... வயது 24 ..!
பஞ்சாப் மாநிலம் ஜலந்தர் கோர்ட்டில் இப்போது ஜட்ஜ் ஆக இருக்கிறார் ...!
கோர்ட் வளாகத்துக்குள்தான் நிருபர்கள் சந்திப்பு !

அந்தப் நீதிபதிப் பெண்ணிடம் நிருபர்கள் கேட்ட கேள்வி :
“இவ்வளவு இளம் வயதில் எப்படி மேடம் , இவ்வளவு பெரிய பதவிக்கு வந்தீர்கள் ? உங்கள் குடும்பம் மிகப் பெரிய செல்வாக்கு படைத்த குடும்பமா..?”
அந்தப் நீதிபதிப் பெண்ணிடம் நிருபர்கள் கேட்ட கேள்வி :
“இவ்வளவு இளம் வயதில் எப்படி மேடம் , இவ்வளவு பெரிய பதவிக்கு வந்தீர்கள் ? உங்கள் குடும்பம் மிகப் பெரிய செல்வாக்கு படைத்த குடும்பமா..?”
.
ஸ்ருதி சற்று நேரம் மௌனமாக இருந்தார்.
எதுவும் பேசவில்லை .
பின் அமைதியாக சொன்னார் : “இல்லை .. என் குடும்பம் மிக மிக எளிமையான குடும்பம் .. ஒரு சாதாரண கிராமத்து பெண் நான் ..!”
நிருபர்கள் அடுத்த கேள்வியை வீசினார்கள் : “ மேடம் ..உங்கள் குடும்பம் .... அம்மா அப்பா பற்றி சொல்லுங்களேன் ..?”
.
ஸ்ருதியிடம் மீண்டும் மௌனம் .
நிருபர்களுக்கு ஒன்றும் புரியவில்லை .
ஒருவேளை தாங்கள் கேட்டது ஜட்ஜ் ஸ்ருதிக்கு புரியவில்லையோ ..?
“மேடம் .. நாங்கள் கேட்டதற்கு நீங்கள் இன்னும் பதில் சொல்....”
“ஸாரி ..என்ன கேட்டீர்கள் ..?”
“உங்கள் அப்பா – அம்மா ...?”
ஸ்ருதி நிருபர்களை உற்று நோக்கினார் . “ஒரு நிமிடம் என்னோடு வெளியே வர முடியுமா..? ப்ளீஸ் ”
நிருபர்கள் பதில் கேள்வி கேட்டார்கள் : “எங்கே மேடம்..? எங்கே வரச் சொல்கிறீர்கள்?”
.
ஸ்ருதி நடந்தபடியே நிருபர்களை திரும்பிப் பார்த்து சொன்னார் : “என் அப்பாவை உங்களுக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்து வைக்கப் போகிறேன்..”
“ஓஹோ”- நிருபர்கள் கேமராவை தயார் செய்தபடி ஸ்ருதியை பின் தொடர்ந்தார்கள் .
ஸ்ருதி வேகமாக நடந்தபடியே சொன்னார் : “என் அப்பா இந்த கோர்ட்டுக்குள்தான் இருக்கிறார் !”
நிருபர்களுக்கு ஒரே ஆச்சரியம் !
ஒரு நிருபர் கேட்டார் : “ ஓ ... உங்கள் அப்பாவும் நீதிபதியா மேடம்?”
“இல்லை..”
இன்னொரு நிருபர் கேட்டார் : “சீனியர் வக்கீலா ..?”
“இல்லை..”
.
வெகு வேகமாக நடந்து சென்ற ஸ்ருதி , கோர்ட் வளாகத்தின் ஒரு மரத்தின் நிழலில் ஒதுங்கி நின்றார் .
நிருபர்களைப் பார்த்து கேட்டார் :
“நாம் ஆளுக்கு ஒரு கப் டீ சாப்பிடலாமா ?”
நிருபர்களும் மரத்தடியில் ஒதுங்க ... சற்று தள்ளி நின்ற டீ விற்பவர் நிருபர்களை நோக்கி வந்தார் .
அவர் ஒவ்வொரு கப்பாக டீயை ஊற்றிக் கொடுக்க ... ஸ்ருதி தன் கையாலேயே அதை வாங்கி எல்லா நிருபர்களுக்கும் கொடுக்க ...
டீயை குடித்து முடித்த நிருபர்கள் “ மேடம் .. நாம் போகலாமா..?”
ஸ்ருதி நிருபர்களை நோக்கி கேட்டார் : “எங்கே..?”
நிருபர்கள் சற்றே குழம்பி ..
“மேடம் ..உங்கள் அப்பாவை எங்களுக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தி வைப்பதாக ....”
ஸ்ருதி புன்னகைத்தார் : “ஓ...ஆமாம் ..அவரை உங்களுக்கு இன்னும் நான் அறிமுகப்படுத்தவில்லை அல்லவா..?.....ஓகே ...போட்டோ எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்”..என்று சொன்ன ஸ்ருதி புன்னகையோடு , சற்றுமுன் அவர்களுக்கு டீ கொடுத்த அந்த டீ விற்பவரை அழைத்தார் :
“அப்பா ..இங்கே கொஞ்சம் வாங்க !”
.
திகைத்துப் போனார்கள் அத்தனை நிருபர்களும் !
.
ஸ்ருதி அந்த டீ விற்பவரின் அருகில் நின்று கொண்டு , நிருபர்களை நோக்கி பெருமையாக சொன்னார் : “ இவர்தான் என் அப்பா ...பல வருஷங்களாக டீக்கடை நடத்தி வருகிறார் . இதோ .. இந்தக் கோர்ட்டுக்கு எதிரேதான் எங்கள் டீக்கடை இருக்கிறது ... கோர்ட்டுக்கு உள்ளே வருபவர்களுக்கும் என் அப்பாதான் டீ விற்பனை செய்கிறார் .. இவரது கடும் உழைப்பினால்தான் கஷ்டப்பட்டு படித்து , இன்று இதே கோர்ட்டுக்குள் நான் ஜட்ஜ் ஆக இருக்கிறேன் ...!”
நிருபர்கள் இன்னும் திகைப்பு மாறாமல் நின்றார்கள் .
ஸ்ருதி அவர்களைப் பார்த்து புன்னகையோடு சொன்னார் : “ஓகே .. என் அப்பா மற்றவர்களுக்கு டீ வழங்க வேண்டும் .. நானும் சிலருக்கு தீர்ப்பு வழங்க வேண்டும் .. நான் வரட்டுமா ..?”
ஜட்ஜ் ஸ்ருதி கம்பீரமாக கோர்ட்டுக்குள் நடந்து சென்றார் .
அந்த தந்தை ஆனந்தக் கண்ணீரோடு அதைப் பார்த்து நின்றார் .

“தெய்வங்கள் எல்லாம் தோற்றே போகும் தந்தை அன்பின் முன்னே
தாலாட்டு பாடும் தாயின் அன்பும் தந்தை அன்பின் பின்னே”
Hard work may not necessarily promise success but success is
impossible without working hard. Success requires firm determination and
sacrifice. Shruti, born to Surinder Kumar, is a resident of Nakodar, a
small town in Jalandhar district of Punjab.
To Shruti’s credit, she was an outstanding student in her school. She
went to study law from Guru Nanak Dev University in Jalandhar and
pursued Master of Law (LL.M) degree from Punjab University in Patiala.
Her father, Surinder Kumar is a tea seller and throughout his life has
been serving tea to the officials and people at the complex of sub
district magistrate in Nakodar.
A 23 year old Shruti passed the Civil Services (Judicial)Exam of
Punjab in her maiden attempt. Not only did she clear the examination but
she also stood first in the SC category. Shruti would now be undergoing
training at the Judicial Academy and after one year she would adorn the
coveted post of a judge and pronounce judgments bringing justice in
this world.
A young Shruti had to face numerous challenges and hardships in her
life. She belonged to a low middle-class family. Her uncle Teerth Ram
was the main guiding force behind her success and always motivated
Shruti to study hard. Surinder Kumar, her father, had to take loans to
let her daughter continue studies and pursue her dreams. He even skipped
few meals a day to let her daughter eat and sleep peacefully. Surinder
made sure that her daughter never felt shortage of books required to ace
the competitive exam. After passing matric from a state public school,
Shruti then made up her mind to pursue law and associate herself with
legal profession. She wanted to end her father’s constant troubles and
problems and as a result, she worked and toiled hard with each passing
day.
As a tea seller in the court premises, Surinder Kumar always dreamt
of his daughter studying law. He would consult the lawyers in the court
about how her daughter should proceed in her studies. Few people called
him lunatic but he did not mind all the insults. Instead, it boosted his
confidence and helped him motivate her daughter in her tireless
efforts.
Shruti was awarded for her success by the Punjab Government and Rajya
Sabha MP, Avnish Rai Khanna who termed her achievement as an honor for
Punjab. Undoubtedly, Shruti has risen above all barriers of financial
crisis and shown the world that even poverty cannot stop anyone from
achieving the toughest goals of life. A proud and happy Surinder Kumar
is elated about her daughter’s success and knows what it actually means.
An Indian parent has always been the epitome of strength for their
children. They aspire that their child should reach tinsel town one day
and in this course they undergo toilsome pursuit to secure their child’s
future. By clearing such a difficult exam and adorning such a dignified
post of a Judge, she is definitely a symbol of hope and motivation to
all those people who consider poverty as a hindrance in their life. Her
life teaches us when there is a will to achieve something no matter how
difficult the situation may be, with sheer determination there would
always be a way to accomplish.
