The board measures 32 x 32 mm, the largest piece (the King) measures 13

the pieces have a base of 3 mm in diameter.<br />

world’s shortest woman by Guinness World Records as she turned 18 in 
2012.<br />
Jyoti Amge, who is 62.8cm (24.7 inches) tall – shorter than the average 
two-year-old, said she wants to earn a degree and also would like to 
make it to Bollywood.<br />

painting since she was 11 months old. She is now a holder of Guinness 
Book of World Records as the youngest one to hold a solo painting 
exhibition when she was just 11 months old, in 2003.<br />

27-year-old Indian Vijay Sharma can wrap his legs over his head, 
wriggle through a tennis racket and wind his arms around his back.<br />
His flexibility has earned him the title of ‘Rubber Man’ in the Limca book of Records during 2001.<br />
Sharma has won a silver medal in body flexibility at a country level 
tournament, held at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh in 2001. He also claims
 to have broken the world record for wrist-egg-crushing – which involves
 pushing your hand backwards to lie flat against the arm – set by a 
Lissa Patterson (CORR) in 2005.<br />

Asha Bhosle created a Guinness world record for singing 11,000 songs till the age of 60.<br />

Speaking at the event, Asha said, “While my contribution to music has 
been acknowledged by foreigners, I have not got identical support in my 
own country. The Guinness Book record has made people take special 
notice of my work.’’<br />
She said, “I have cried on stage for the first time in my life. The 
citation mentioned the struggle I had to go through. Singing four to 
five songs a day, I managed to sing 11,000 songs. I had to raise my 
children alone and hence, had little choice about my songs. I sang 
whatever came my way.’<br />

10.  India breaks Pakistan’s Largest Human National Flag record</h4>

In 2007, 50,000 proud residents of Chennai succeeded in forming the 
largest human national flag as they made their way to the Guinness Book 
of World Records beating the previous record held by Pakistan. People 
from all walks of life assembled holding placards of different colours –
 saffron, white and green to form the Indian national flag. One of the 
participants in the record attempt, Vatrivel, said he felt proud of the 
attempt. Another participant, Ekta said she felt proud as an Indian 
after the successful attempt. The record was organized by the Rotary 
Club International.<br />

World Record for performing Yoga continuously for 40 hours non-stop, 
demonstrating more than 1,500 ‘asanas’.<br />

Yogaraj CP broke the record for the ‘Longest Yoga Marathon (Male)’ by
 performing continuously for three days starting on Friday and ending 
today afternoon.<br />
The yoga instructor did multiple twists and turns at his Tsim Sha Tsui 
studio, Prana Yogam, which was open to public for the duration of the 
challenge.<br />

Guinness World Records’ book is 12-year-old Rohan Kokane from Belgaum in
 Karnataka, India. The year-7 student at St Xavier’s High School is 
recognized for being the Lowest Limbo Skater, achieving a roller-skating
 height of just 25 cm over a distance of 10 m.<br />

Manigandan rode through India on a Royal Enfield Classic 500.<br />

the Indian Army Corps of Signals ‘Daredevils’ Display Team (all India) 
at Dumna Airport, Jabalpur, India, on 28 December 2013.<br />
The men rode a single 500 cc Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle a distance 
of 1,100 metres. The motorcycle was modified, as permitted, with a 
platform around the edge to carry all the people, and no one touched the
 ground during the attempt, meaning no one was disqualified.<br />

fingernails ever reached on a single hand, measuring 6.15 meters (20 
feet 2.25 inches). Chillal’s longest nail is 1.30 meters (4.25 feet). He
 stopped cutting his nails in 1952.<br />
Due to nerve damage caused from the nails’ immense weight, Chillal is 
permanently deaf in the left ear and he finally decided it was time to 
cut off his nails in late 2000.<br />

Roopa Kudva did her Bachelor’s degree in Statistics. Ms Kudva then 
went on to complete her post graduate diploma in IIM (Indian Institute 
of Management) Ahmedabad. In fact she has also bagged the ‘Distinguished
 Alumnus Award’, from her alma mater.<br />

She joined CRISIL in the year 1992 and has worked in the emerging 
markets across Middle East, Mediterranean and South Asian countries.

is a financial institution head quartered in Paris. Prior to this, she 
worked in the finance department at Industrial Development Bank of India
 (IDBI).<br />

She was also the Former Director with National Commodity & 
Derivatives Exchange Ltd. She also worked as the Director of India Index
 Services & Products Ltd and Executive Director of Coalition 
Development Ltd.<br />

She also works at various levels in CRISIL as the Chief Executive 
Officer, Managing Director, Executive Director, Member of Allotment

<strong>Her journey with CRISIL</strong><br />
As stated in the earlier paragraphs, the alumni from IIM-A, Ms Roopa 
Kudva joined CRISIL in the year 1992, after her six year stint at IDBI. 
She was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer 
of CRISIL during the year 2007. She was the iron lady who led CRISIL’s 
evolution from an Indian rating agency to a diversified analytical 
company. The clients range from biggie and most powerful investment and 
credit lending banking corporations of the world to tens of thousands of
 smaller firms, spread across India. Under her able leadership and 
guidance, CRISIL’s revenue has increased triple times and so as its 
diversified level of business. CRISIL, while it made its head way entry 
in India, was catering to 9 major Indian cities, now has grown up to 150
 in today’s scenario.<br />
<br />
The iconic lady has provided so much of positive growth and an 
enhanced level of vigour to the credit rating agency that it has 
expanded its business operations to international markets like 
Argentina, China, Poland and Paris. Ms Kudva during her tenure has 
pioneered several major projects for CRISIL. It includes rating the 
credit standing of medium and small scale industries running through the
 length and breadth of the country. She has also been instrumental 
towards the launch of a unique Financial Inclusion Index for India. The 
50 year olds prevalence in the business world simply does not end here.<br />
<br />
She also spearheaded CRISIL's entry into proprietary research outside
 India by acquiring UK-based Coalition Development Ltd in 2012. This 
way, she not only made sure the credit rating agency did well in its 
operations which it initially came up with. But she had also helped 
CRISIL foray into global research and analytics. Ms Kudva joined CRISIL 
in 1992, and has more than two decades of global experience across 
sectors, in India, Middle-East, Eastern Europe, and Mediterranean 
countries, including a secondment to Standard & Poor's, Paris, as 
Director, Financial Institutions Ratings.<br />
<br />
She used to head a team of 1500 people, which she was taking up her 
role as the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) at CRISIL. And 30% of the work
 force under her leadership comprised of aspiring and young women.<br />
<br />
Now, apart from research and ratings, she helped the team at CRISIL 
foray into the off shoring business. This was what she had to say, while
 she was being interviewed in a corporate meet, “We will continue to 
focus on offering innovative and high quality services to our 
customers”.<br />

She held the post of a CEO from 2007 up until 2014, while she had to 
quit CRISIL. She has currently joined the Board committee of Infosys 
group.<br />

Ms Kudva is a committee member of several financial institutions, 
including those of Securities and Exchange board of India popularly 
known as SEBI and that of Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI. She is also a 
leading member on the Board of Directors council at NASSCOM. She gives 
guest lectures and holds conferences and seminars across global 
frontiers. These include multi-lateral agencies, market participants and
 leading academic universities and colleges. She is definitely a source 
of inspiration for the present as well as future generation lads. She is
 one of the few powerful women in India, who has taken the road, less

Roopa is married to Vivek Kudva, while the couple wanted to re-locate

her exercising regime at the gym. Kudva feels that one should manage 
time efficiently that neither your work nor family should suffer. And

world is the majority at 55 %.  And also statistics prove that the 
divorce rate of arranged marriages in India is 1.1% only.<br />
